Poate creștinismul fi înțeles dintr-o perspectivă non-dualistă? Această lucrare inovatoare propune un dialog fascinant între tradiția ortodoxă și șaivismul din Kashmir, explorând teritorii spirituale rareori întâlnite în cercetarea academică.

Antonio Sandu demonstrează că ortodoxia creștină deține elemente non-duale fundamentale – conceptele de co-ființă (homoousios) și theosis (îndumnezeire) – comparabile cu filosofia kașmiriană a recunoașterii divine (pratyabhijñā). Ambele tradiții sunt logocentrice, situând inima ca spațiu primordial al întâlnirii cu Divinul.

Lucrarea revelează că porunca lui Iisus – „Iubește-ți aproapele ca pe tine însuți” – reprezintă expresia practică a non-dualismului trăit, unde recunoașterea prezenței divine în celălalt transcende atât panteismul, cât și dualismul rigid.

O sinteză originală între teologia patristică, mistica occidentală și studiile comparative, esențială pentru căutătorii spirituali, practicanții de yoga și meditație cu fundal creștin, precum și pentru cercetătorii în teologie comparată.

Can Christianity be understood from a non-dualist perspective? This innovative work proposes a fascinating dialogue between the Orthodox tradition and Kashmir Shaivism, exploring spiritual territories rarely encountered in academic research.

Antonio Sandu demonstrates that Orthodox Christianity possesses fundamental non-dual elements – the concepts of co-beingness (homoousios) and theosis (deification) – comparable to the Kashmiri philosophy of divine recognition (pratyabhijñā). Both traditions are logocentric, situating the heart as the primordial space of encounter with the Divine.

The work reveals that Jesus’s commandment – “Love thy neighbor as thyself” – represents the practical expression of lived non-dualism, where recognition of divine presence in the other transcends both pantheism and rigid dualism.

An original synthesis between patristic theology, Western mysticism, and comparative studies, essential for spiritual seekers, yoga and meditation practitioners with Christian backgrounds, as well as researchers in comparative theology.
