Maria Bostenaru Dan – Dr. Dipl.-Ing., “Ion Mincu” University of Architectureand Urbanism, Bucharest, Romania. graduated as an engineer in architecture at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany in 1999. She spent 12 years abroad in Germany and then in Italy (Pavia and Rome), the later on Marie Curie and Vasile Pârvan fellowships doing research on protection of 20th century architecture against natural disasters. More recently her attention turned towards digital methods. She is member in numerous international networks (COST, ESF RNP, ICOMOS, World Housing Encyclopedia). She is author of numerous journal articles and books as well as editor of books in her field. She engages in voluntary work for research associations.
