Camelia Nicoleta Medeleanu

Camelia Nicoleta Medeleanu has a PhD in sociology (thesis title Human resource management in the context of regional development ) and is senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Faculty of Philosophy and SocialPolitical Sciences, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași. She pursued an academic training in the field of economics and social work. In 1999, she graduated from the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange part of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, and in 2004 she graduated as head of class of the Faculty of Philosophy and SocialPolitical Sciences, majoring in Social Assistance. Between 2004-2006, she attended the courses of the Masters programme “Social management and community development”. The research undertaken has explored community development, social and economic disparities, the economic crisis, human rights and anti-discrimination strategies. She published the book Regional Development and Human Resources (volume funded by the Ministry of National Education under the national competition for subsidizing technical and scientific literature, 2013).
