Andrei Smochină – Habilitated Doctor in Legal Sciences, Professor; he contributed to the research of the following scientific fields: The General Theory of Law and Constitutional Law Branch. The most relevant domains of interest are the competences of central and territorial public authorities regarding the protection of different categories of people in order to enforce the respect for their fundamental rights. The scientific activity is realized within the taught disciplines: The Universal History of State and Law, Constitutional Jurisdiction, The Constitutional Law of the Republic of Moldova. He is the scientific supervisor of many doctoral theses and reviewer of many articles and scientific studies. The professor brought a huge contribution to the legal science in general and to the constitutional law in special.
